Better Chiropractic. Better Chiropractors. A Better Approach to Spinal Health.
More Research – More Solutions – Better Outcomes
Chiropractic BioPhysics is a highly-advanced, scientific, and proven chiropractic technique which corrects and restores your spine back to alignment.
Chiropractic BioPhysics combines biology, physiology, physics, geometry, and anatomy to identify the causes of your pain, discomfort, loss of mobility, and altered health.
That means your diagnosis – and treatment – will be based on sound scientific and chiropractic principles.
CBP Spinal Rehabilitation: A Better Solution to an Old Problem
Millions of people world wide enjoy less pain, more mobility, and improved health because of treatment by a Doctor of Chiropractic. As good as it is, Chiropractic care evolves and improves based on continuous advances in science and technology.
Unlike regular chiropractic that mainly focuses on immediate pain relief, Chiropractic BioPhysics goes one step further to also correct the source of the problem.
Charlton Chiropractic is one of only a handful of clinics in Queensland equipped to provide this care. Dr Michael is also one of approximately 15 Chiropractors to hold General Certification in Chiropractic Biophysics.
However, at the end of the day, it is all about you as a patient of the Practice. We want to provide you the best, most scientific and evidence based care possible.
What are some of the key features of CBP?
- Clinically researched treatment methods for all ages and all Spinal conditions.
- Procedures and exercises for home and office.
- The proper use of devices and tools to facilitate treatment.
- Effective spinal and postural correction.
- Correcting the problem not just relieving the symptoms.
Chiropractic BioPhysics: At the Forefront of Chiropractic Research
With nearly 200 peer reviewed published periodicals, Chiropractic BioPhysics is at the forefront of Chiropractic Research. Indeed CBP leads the way in Spinal Rehabilitation, Postural Correction, Structural Alignment and the impact of your spine and nervous system on human health and disease.
Dr Michael is committed to bring the best rehabilitation techniques and spinal remodeling equipment required to achieve structural correction.
On Site Digital X-ray Analysis
At Charlton Chiropractic, we are the only one in the area(that we know of) that takes onsite digital x-ray and uses the researched gold standard x-ray analysis to give you the clearest picture of your spinal health and what needs to be done to improve it.(this is currently being installed)
Posture Ray EMR Software
Charlton Chiropractic has acquired state of the art X-ray processing software called ‘Posture Ray’ to enhance and optimise the diagnostic quality of digital radiographic images. Posture Ray is the only software to use the proprietary full spine models developed by the Chiropractic BioPhysics Research team of engineers and mathematicians, published in some of the top journals of the world. They include: Spine, Journal of Orthopaedic Research, European Spine Journal and Journal of Spinal Disorders.
Despite it’s complexity, Posture Ray allows you to clearly see where your spine is out of alignment (the red line) and where the correct alignment (the green line) should be. As shown opposite, it is very clear and easy to understand from a patient’s point of view.
‘You Can’t Diagnose What You Can’t See’
To get a great outcome for you, we need to provide great treatment. Outstanding care requires specific X-ray analysis of exacting detail. This does not happen by chance and the best radiographic tools are required.
Posture Ray EMG Software aids in analysis of spinal x-rays and plots abnormal deviations. As a patient you can easily see exactly what correction
s are necessary and track the progress of treatment, whether for spinal displacement, scoliosis or a ligamentous injury secondary to traumatic event.
We believe that adults should never have their spine corrected without spinal X-rays and appropriate analysis. We genuinely find something each week on patients’ X-rays that cause us to significantly alter or modify their care. Indeed, from time to time we discover spinal pathologies, cancers or tumours that would have been missed and potentially catastrophic for the patient.
Apart from being an essential safety feature, the X-ray analysis allows us to evaluate the spine in great detail and provide clear documentation that will occur during Corrective Care Programs.
As with measures of pain intensity, range of motion, and quality of life, periodic assessment of spinal structural alignment is important to evaluate progress and determine when maximum patient improvement has been reached.
Ultimately as a patient, you now have a clear record, and understanding, of the changes that exist within your spine. You can track these changes over time, use the analysis to prescribe specific postural corrective exercises and make sense of what is required to achieve Optimal Spinal Function and Postural Correction.
